Olusegun Adesokan is the managing partner of Adesokan & Adesokan and in that capacity coordinates the practice teams of the Firm. In addition to this role, he heads the Telecommunication, Estate & Trust, Banking & Finance, Intellectual Property and Corporate & Commercial practices of the Firm. Segun provides specialized advice to Clients in corporate and structured finance, intellectual property rights protection, commercial transactions, real estate acquisition & disposition, business start-up and reorganization, distribution transactions, employment, immigration, energy, investment, site acquisition for telecommunication towers, loans securitization, insolvency, compliance & governance issues and other transactional mandates. His grasp of business dynamics helps in anticipating the twists and turns of a diverse range of corporate and commercial matters complemented by his strong negotiating skills which he successfully applies to deliver on clients’ mandates.

He continues to represent Banks, Private Equity Firms, Real Estate Investors, Energy Companies, Manufacturing Companies, Telecommunication Companies, Distribution and Marketing Entities, Construction Companies and Individuals on a wide range of issues (transactional and dispute resolution) requiring legal content. He acted for the world’s largest energy beverage producer in securing regulatory approvals and permits to market and distribute its brands in Nigeria. He also advised the Company on the protection of its intellectual property rights. He also successfully acted for a leading Tobacco Manufacturing Company in the enforcement of the intellectual property rights to its products against counterfeiters and infringers of its trademark and design rights. He recently facilitated regulatory protection and enforcement of brand rights industry wide of edible oil producers. He has successfully handled high profile debt collection and insolvency matters for financial and non-financial institutions.

Segun also acts for leading telecommunication companies on site acquisition mandates. He advised a leading telecommunication infrastructure provider (collocation) on the acquisitions of tower sites of first tier telecommunication companies. He has prepared and negotiated on behalf of lenders and purchasers, vessel sale agreements, vessel brokerage agreements, charter parties and vessel mortgages. He regularly prosecutes and litigate Trade mark disputes before the Trade Marks Tribunal and the regular courts of records. He consults for the Federal and State Legislature.
